It all started with 3 brothers on a couch.
We tried to make some music, exploring a world of music that we'd always felt a connection to in some way.
Before long, we had a whole album ready to share with the world.
Our first gigs were a challenge - we hadn't even played together as a band before since the entire album was recorded track-by-track.

But with every performance, we got tighter. We improved our skills on different instruments, which made recording our second album a much smoother process.
Balancing gigs, music production, social media, emails, and band management has definitely been overwhelming at times.
But the music keeps us going. Especially those moments when we all (the 3 + 1 brothers) can come back to the couch to record some music.

In 2022, ANIJURAMA were traveling in England. Among other things, they visited a well-known galaxy friend.
The first few days went by and they made their way through their bumpy start, which had been delayed by scary monsters.
When they arrived in Oxfordshire or thereabouts, the three of them drove through nowhere until they reached their friend's house.
They had a jam session for hours, the vibrating notes and harmonies flying across the enchanted forest they created. The three were allowed to spend the night in Santa's house.

The next day the three traveled on to London to find the great golem. Unfortunately they didn't find anything, but they did meet three other scaffolders.
After London was a bust and the witch had escaped, they drove on to Liverpool. On the way, of course, they didn't forget Burger King.
In Liverpool they were finally successful. They found the witch and got all her magic herb. From then on, the last two days flew by and ANIJURAMA was back in the future again.

You know when you're looking for creativity? When you have the urge to create, to design something creatively.
Like, for example, making music in a very intuitive way that somehow feels authentic and honest and relaxed. I was looking for something like that and then found it by an almost uncanny coincidence.
There I was standing in a basement room with three brothers, all three of whom have their very own language, but all of whom use their individual compass to write songs together, to express feelings, to make music.

Music that somehow feels authentic, honest and relaxed. It's not about virtuosity, not about sterile technique, here everyone plays everything and in such a way that it fits together.
And as luck would have it, the guys were almost as enthusiastic about my almost academic way of making music as I was about their intuitive way. I learn from the three of them and maybe they learn something from me.
The music we make is somehow authentic and honest and quite relaxed. You know when you're looking for creativity? You'll find it at ANIJURAMA!

ANIJURAMA was not always a band in the classical sense. It all started with a few song ideas, a condenser microphone and a room.
The basis of the first songs like Paradise, You and Me or Fly High (We Do) was a guitar and vocals.
The whole thing was filled with vocals and whatever could be found in the 'studio' (The studio was Dennis' living room - Dennis is the one with the blond hair)

A knock on the sofa here, a lid of a sandwich spread there, paired with clapping, whistling, the soda stream from the kitchen and everything that can be found on the living room table in everyday life. Added to this were nature recordings from parks and zoos of animals or rivers, for example. Add a few effects and the sonic spectrum that made the first album 'Paradise' so unique was complete. Simple, fast and intuitive was the motto. It wasn't about producing an excellent album. Three brothers having fun together and finding each other.
This was the beginning of ANIJURAMA.
